Summary of Unwritten Chapter
In July, I made a trip to Maine to hike a planned 5 days with Steve. We stayed at the Gorman Chairback Lodge in a cabin I rented for the week. We ended up with 3 days but hiked the first 30 miles of the 100 Mile Wilderness. It was tough hiking the remote trailheads did not make the logistics easy.
In August I was back into Maine again and hiked 2 days by myself over Little Bigelow and from Caribou Pond Road to ME 27 staying in Stratton. Steve joined me for two additional days to hike from Caribou Pond Road to the summit of Saddleback.
Altogether in Maine I hiked 63 AT miles plus side trails in 7 AT hiking days. Maine is tough. I still have 150 miles to go. Can I finish Maine in 2015?
